...the phonetic pronunciation of the Afrikaans word "voetsek", meaning "go away", only slightly more intense... Since we all "went away" from the country we so love, I thought it an appropriate name for this website (as well as being a word that most Americans and Canadians would be able to pronounce - more or less  ;o)

This is a place where expatriate South Africans can buy products to remind them of South Africa, as well as to identify them as such to our adopted neigbours (note the spelling of that word ;o)
